In 2001, Olechem merged with the Eastport Maritime Group, a global chemical brokerage, expanding its international presence and strengthening relationships with major oil and chemical companies worldwide.
 

In 2023, the firm joined forces with McQuilling Partners, a diversified global shipbroker active in the crude oil and refined products sectors, to establish and develop a dedicated chemical tanker brokerage division within its New York and Houston offices.

In 2026, Olechem transformed from a traditional brokerage into a specialist maritime risk consultancy, drawing on more than

35 years of expertise in negotiating contracts of carriage and successfully resolving commercial contract disputes.
 

Today, the company provides maritime risk consulting, claims management, and dispute resolution services to clients across the global shipping industry, helping them manage contractual risk, resolve complex commercial disputes, and protect their commercial interests.
